    About Web Chapel Ministries

    Web Chapel ministries began as a personal project to provide websites to ministries after some early attempts by others were abandoned.

    Funds for over thirty years have been primarily provided through speaking honoraria. The domain names and hosting have all been provided at no charge to the ministry served.

    The cost has grown significantly and the current hosting service does not support automated renewal of SSL (security certificates).


    Several sites are now hosted on a Linux server with an open source control panel. WordPress and a variety of other website options can be installed in minutes.

    Free SSL certificates can updated automatically saving hours of work.

    Storage and Memory can be upgraded as sites are added, eliminating the need for multiple hosting accounts.

    We have been paying for as many as five hosting accounts and have managed as many as fifty websites.

    As sites are migrated to this server we expect to drop our monthly costs by up to 50%.

    We are asking new and existing clients to cover the cost of their domain name registration, and consider contributing to hosting cost when possible, but we depend upon the LORD to meet our need.

    THINGS TO PRAY FOR

    We really need people to become site managers to monitor this service, perform maintenance and upgrades. Most sites are WordPress.

    The goal has been to make this a non-profit with a board to keep the service running perpetually.

  • 2025 April Update

    The two Windows-Based hosting accounts have been closed. All websites from those accounts have been migrated to the new server. Their are seventeen domains hosted on this new server. We have over thirty more to transfer.

    A second site-manager has been added. We can still use volunteers to help ministries that do not have anyone to update their website.

    The goal is to move the remaining websites by September. The the plan is to close www.ITAYWA.com (reseller account). We have chosen CloudFlare to transfer our domain names. There is no markup on domain registration and they offer several website security and optimizing tools. Many of the domains we host are renewed for two years to alternate the cost. To move the domains requires us to pay the one year fee. We are scheduling a portion each month to stretch out the expenses.

    We do not charge for support or hosting of assembly ministries. We are not a non-profit organization, but we welcome cost sharing and donations.

  • 2025 March Update

    Following the earlier post on March, one of two Windows Hosting accounts went off-line. After several hours of attempts and at least two hours with support, the decision was made to move the sites.

    Unfortunately , three sites could not be retrieved or rebuilt including CampHorizon.org. That site has been forwarded to the new website (under-construction).

    We have a second Windows Hosting site on another provider network. All WordPress sites have now been migrated to the new server. The final site that requires Windows Hosting is being rebuilt.

  • 2025 March News

    This month we are migrating a few sites to a virtual server. The hosting software is provided at no cost (CloudPanel), and the SSL Certificates are free and automated by LetsEncrypt. The only cost is the server (Memory, Storage, and Computing).

    As more sites are migrated we can eliminate shared hosting accounts that we have been using for a few decades.
